I think I own most of the interactive story type games.

All the Quantic Games ones
LA Noire
Life is Strange
The Telltale ones
Last of Us (sorta counts)
Mass Effect
Until Dawn
Dreamfall
Oxenfree

Poop like that. Some are pretty poop but the genre has so much potential.

I would (frank) Until Dawn if it was a pretty lady.

Vanishing of Ethan Carter is great. Gone Home is apparently really good. I've heard good stuff about Her Story. For a game that literally has no dialogue, if you pay attention Inside is terrific. Similar with Limbo, since you're a pretentious movie ass hole you can find a lot in the way the game is crafted to tell a story versus what you're doing to tell a story. YMMV with Firewatch. You might get a kick out of Framed on mobile. Depending how much of a dork ass nerd you wanna be, Pillars of Eternity. Dark Dreams don't die is similar to Wolf Among Us

If it wasn't basically impossible to get a copy these days, I would totally recommend Catherine.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is a game I want to recommend but I don't know if it fits. If you like LA Noire, its similar enough in ways.

If you want to play Twin Peaks: The Game, I would recommend dumping like 30-40 hours into Deadly Premonition. Its kinda janky, but once you get passed that it becomes so (frank)ing good bad.

If I think of any others that sort of follow in that general scope I'll pass them on

Quantic games are (frank)ing terrible pieces of poop from Fahrenheit to Beyond Two Souls. God damn awful terrible no good very bad games with putrid stories.

Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls should be sold in a package called The Sadness Trilogy. All David Cage games are bad.

Beyond Two Souls is great and Until Dawn is only ok to me. Two Souls is essentially a meditation on loneliness, loss, and abandonment. There are certain parts that are laughably bad and manipulative but as a whole it's surprisingly genuine and well done. Until Dawn is just a goofy jump scare B horror type story. It is worth playing but once you're done there's nothing to think about or talk about. Disposable entertainment.

I think we greatly differ in taste. This includes movies and games. We're pretty much complete opposites, it's kind of funny.

I own most of the other games you mentioned too. I also remembered a few others: Beginners Guide, Stanley Parable, To The Moon, Her Story.. there are more I'm forgetting I'm sure. I have a lot of story games

I'm looking forward to Detroit: Become Human as well. I'm sure it'll touch on some of the sci Fi robot/AI themes from things like 2001 or Blade Runner. As usual Cage will fumble along the way but it should still be good.

This reminds me of another game. SOMA. The gameplay is absolute ass but man is the story ever good. It took me a while to get into it but it was worth the slog. It should be made into a movie.

David Cage sucks and all his games should die

Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit fails miserably at the midway point in the game
Heavy Rain literally sets mechanics up to lie to you for plot convenience
Beyond Two Souls is a hackjob piece of trash with no thought put into structure of story telling

The new Detroit game is going to suck ass as hard as anything but art fart (frank)faces are gonna be like "derrrrr its artistic and the themes of sucking Richards and taking dumps on your own face are reflections on society man *sniffs own fart out of wine glass*"

I can't recall who I discussed this with previously but have you played Life is Strange yet? I wish more story based games like these existed. I'm surprised they don't sell more than they do, literally anyone can play them and they're basically interactive movies.

That one's from Square, right? Uh... it looks really unusual, which is good. Also heard good things about it, think I will pick it up

Its on my wishlist. I'm just waiting for a good sale on Steam or the right mood.

If you want I could toss together a pretty decent list of similarish games for you if you want

It was free on Xbone for a while. I downloaded it but have yet to play.

Published by Square, made by Dontnod. Same people that made the wonderfully mediocre Remember Me.

yeah by the end of episode 2 i knew all hope was lost. it went from hate watching to genuine enjoyment. they really nailed the atmosphere pretty much perfectly. great use of music and colour and they've even managed to effectively use all the dumb tv character tropes while having characters that aren't one dimensional.

there's no going back. i'm doomed. i predict i'll catch up to the latest episode by the weekend. i wanted to hate this so bad.

i'm getting huge life is strange (video game) vibes from the show too btw
