Tomorrow there will be a video on all the deals today. This team was embarrassed multiple times. Walman fetched a 1st round pick, Yzerman helped Tampa with salary and got a 4th, and Cozens is headed to Ottawa. Then the poop show hit.

First period, good stuff. Good second. Then Detroit’s 2-1 leader turned into a 5-2 deficit. This team is a disgrace right now and it’s back to players not caring. We got the Mazur call up hoped for, he last a minute in the last game before heading to IR.

Let me know where you’re at. Is it time to tune out and hope for a better year? That’s certainly the temptation.

1st Period goals:

Larkin opened the scoring with his 26th of the year. Larkin and Soderblom were battling along the boards until Raymond got the puck to the net. He found Larkin who shot from behind the goal line and in. 1-0 DET

At 7:00 the Wings doubled their lead with Seider getting his 6th of the year. Seider, Debrincat and Kane all getting touches with some quick movement and Kane finally found Seider with a clear path to the net. 2-0 DET

At 18:39 the Caps get one back. 2-1 DET

Shots: 10-9 DET
Score: 2-1 DET

2nd Period goals:

No goals

Shots: 18-15 WASH
Score: 2-1 DET

3rd Period goals:

Washington scores 3 in the third to take a 4-2 lead. Detroit just looks like they’re have mailed it in

Detroit gave up an SHG at 9:19. Game over

Shots: 29-10 WASH
Score: 5-2 WASH
