Today was supposed to be a pregame writeup as Detroit pursues the post season. Instead, the news that Trey Augustine will stay in school brought to life some of the concerns expressed earlier in the season in this blog. You can see in the video above that in basketball coaches are quitting as players leave for Name, Image, Likeness money, football players left their teams within a week of the playoffs, and now NHL draft picks are opting for transfers and elongated careers. We will likely find out soon enough if money was put on the table for MSU to bring back a 2 time big 10 top goalie.

From the video,
Here is a link for an exchange where players/agents can put together the deals.

Here is the CBS report on Trey Augustine

Here is the PHR report on the Blackhawks player entering the transfer portal

This is the report that March Madness has been greatly affected by transfers/NIL

Finally, this is a website where agents can train and become certified to work with NIL deals. There is a list of agents on the right side including one from Quantum hockey.

The inevitable draw of money should have the NHL and NHLPA at the table with the NCAA to come up with a way that clubs can sign one prospect per year to a modified ELC as tampering in the NHL seems to be picking up steam. As always, let me know your thoughts. If you can, please subscribe to the youtube channel. We need 23 more in order to do livestreams and if more NCAA or CHL/European prospects (unsigned) go this route things could get interesting or even ugly.
