For the next several blogs, I will be getting into players the flyers could possibly be drafting in June. We’ve already discussed Misa, whose stock continues to rise and is likely #1 or maybe #2, so today we will look at the player many have related the $1 Swedish Prospect..
The Sabres have beaten the two best teams in teams in hockey this week…which has truly helped the Flyers out….and is slowly killing fans in Buffalo…
So the Flyers could be looking at a pick anywhere from 1 to 7…depending on the ping pong balls..
That puts them in line for possibly drafting Anton Frondell…
Frondell is a 6 foot 1 inch Center, with a killer one-timer and and Auston Matthews-ish wrister that freezes goalies….He played in basically the AHL of the Swedish elite league and set a record for points-per-game, beating out the former top two record holders. William Nylander and David Pastrnak. Not bad company…..
He is only 17 currently and his May birthday puts him as one of the younger players in this draft…
They are very few downsides with Anton…. Perhaps the only one I can see is his favorite shot is the one-timer off the right wing low…. That is also Michkov’s spot….. not a big deal but just something I noticed… obviously the Flyers are drafting a player that could likely become Michkov’s center… like I said this is a really quick observation of what I’ve seen…
Here are some highlights from this year. Anton is number 14 on his team and number 16 on the Swedish team.
