KHL has stopped their season, cancelling the Gagarin Cup playoffs and league is already setting up for the upcoming season. However - they are going to have to play with one less squad in 2020/2021.

Admiral Vladivostok announced today that they have withdrawn from the championship for at least one season as the local government has decided to transfer their money that they used to fund sports, to a local emergency budget to fight against the covid-19 virus.

Admiral might not ice a team at all, even not in the Russian minor leagues, however they will continue the development of their youth hockey.

These news came just days after Vladivostok had announced the hiring of their new head coach Leonids Tambijevs, who has surprised to hear these news stating that he hadn't heard the news from the club yet and found out about the situation in the media.
