As I wrote last week, there is really ONE player out there who is already considered the #1 most needed player to trade for: Darcy Kuemper.. A source said that these talks are "Very Much Ongoing."
Who's interested?
So far I am hearing three teams predominantly....Edmonton and Carolina...
The Oilers would have to eat some salary while moving Mike Smith back to Arizona along with a second-round pick and a prospect. And then they'd likely have to make another move, probably with Detroit, to clear some cap space...I have hear they could possibly move Gagner to Columbus or the Rangers...
The Hurricanes would be able to send a solid D prospect along with a second-rounder...
The Sabres would have to move a Hutton, a serious prospect and a second round pick...
Who should be interested?
I am not saying that these teams aren't already involved...I just haven't heard from any sources who tell me they are, but in Kuemper you not only get a solid keeper for this odd season where having two goalies could be the difference, but you also get a possible goalie of the future.. Kuemper brings a lot.
