Earlier today I gave some more thoughts on the trade for Nedeljkovic. There is no downside to that deal. In fact, it may have added a piece to the “core” as it stands. 25 years old with some impressive performances last year, this move certainly took the sting out of Petruzzelli moving on.

Detroit’s first pick in the draft is Simon Edvinsson! This is the guy I really wanted, awesome!

I wrote earlier in the year “not to get attached” because this kid could be off the draft board. I’m really excited for this one. Incredible skating. I would assume he plays overseas this year but possible for GR next season. Could look really good next to Seider

Detroit moved up to 15 swapping 3 picks 23, 48 and 138 and grabbed Sebastian Cossa I’ll be honest, Cossa wasn’t really on my radar. Yzerman has obviously had success drafting a goalie in the first round. Below are some highlight reels

Check out some of my previous posts:
Yzerman extended Rasmussen and acquired Alex Nedeljkovic yesterday.

Seattle has selected Dennis Cholowski.

While we wait on RFA contract status for Detroit

RedWings TV did a quick hit on centers MacTavish and Lusius as possible draft targets

Detroit acquired Leddy for Panik, 52nd pick

The market for Zack Hyman is blowing up.

Yzerman has kept contracts short and sweet.

In my previous post we looked at the core vs the core values

My fourth “gear corner” focused on equipment for special events.

The Canadiens have to get down to business after the post season ended.

my previous article covered some of the top UFA right shooting forwards available.

The expansion draft is swiftly approaching.

In my third installment of Summer Reading, Chelios found out exactly what Yzerman was like as a leader..

My third “Gear Corner” focused on helmets.
