Speculated here once Marc-Andre Fleury was re-signed, Cam Talbot is in the move. Filip Gustavsson the 24 year old Swedish netminder is heading to Minnrsota from Ottawa.

This accomplishes a couple of things for Bill Guerun and the Wild, #1 of which is cap space, (nearly $3M) and of course the risk that Cam has some bad blood left over from how this past season and short playiff run ended.

Bill Guerin had made it clear that Talbot was under contract with the Wild for this upcoming season and just like every othet player on the roster the ice time is earned by performance. Talbot was very good over his two seasons with the Wild, and some may argue he deserved the net earlier than game six of the first round series against St. Louis. That is a fair argument, but one that cannot be debated by player or agent using the media.

Ultimately the Wild have some salary cap room, a new goalie to back up Fleury, and a fellow countryman to the Wild's heir apparent netminder, Jesper Wallstedt.

Now what is the next move for Guerin...
