The Cardiac/Comeback Cats made a rare appearance during a wild win over a very good Dallas Stars team on Tuesday night.

Down by three, Florida clawed back to beat the Stars 4-3, thanks in large part to some Barky heroics, but even bigger heroics from Bob. The guy was fantastic. Plain and simple. With a SV% of .900, and allowing three goals on 30 shots (many of which were dangerous), Bob carried the Cats and gave them a chance to win.

Second Star of the night was very fitting.

TONIGHT

After wrapping up against a tough Stars team, the Panthers will turn around and face another strong foe in the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canes sit in second of the Metropolitan Division, and fourth in the Eastern Confrence — six points behind the numero uno Florida Panthers.

Carolina was one of the big winners at the TDL when they landed the coveted Jake Guentzel from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

As Litter Box Cats sum up the Hurricanes recent happenings:

The Hurricanes, 6-3-1 in their last ten games, are coming off a tough 1-0 loss to the visiting New York Rangers on Tuesday that snapped a three-game winning streak and left them six points behind the Metropolitan Division leaders. Deadline week acquisition Jake Guentzel made his Carolina debut in the game, finishing with one shot, two hits and a block in 15:12 of ice time. Pyotr Kochetkov, who blanked the Panthers on February 22, stopped 23 of 24 shots against the Rangers and should get that start tonight. If not, it’ll be recently returned veteran Frederik Andersen, who is 6-1 in limited action this season.”

This budding rivalry has been super fun to watch over the past few season. Once again, I’m expecting a playoff atmosphere tonight - especially with only 17 games left on the schedule and Florida looking to ramp things up.

Rodrigues and Bennett are both out tonight and listed as day-to-day. Gadjovich comes back into the lineup and Bob will be between the pipes again.

That first line is ridiculous, and I love the energy we’ll be seeing from the fourth!

I’m going to keep an eye on Okposo tonight. Second game on the new team, should feel a little more settled in. Curious what kind of game he’ll bring to the Panthers’ lower lines…
