NHL team resolutions….

I don’t know about you all, but this is my least favorite big holiday. New Year’s is like the roick concert you go to where the opening act, Christmas, was so much better than the headliner, and you just kinda wants to get this show over with. Every day of the year, we go around the sun one more time, but to. night a lot of people will drink and party that fact. Maybe it’s because I don’t drink, but I don’t really see the pointy of this one. The only good thing that can be said about it I guess was as a kid you get the week off between Christmas and New Year’s. Otherwise, you would just get a couple of days for Christmas, maybe. I don’t know. I’m just not into it…

So we have circled on one more time, and for many people, this becomes a time to reflect…

For me it’s the two best days to watch a lot of sports on TV.

If you’re in PPennsylvania, and a hockey fan today, it is crazy….the amount of cool things you can watch today.

*The Winter Classic starts at 5 ET. I really want to see what Conor Beddard does in this kind of spotlight. This is the first time he’s really had the spotlight on him in a national game.
*USA and Canada for first place at 7:30 in the WJC
*Penn State and Boise in the college football playoffs at 7:30
*Flyers in San Jose at eight
*Plus a great game between Winnipeg and Colorado at eight

Anyway, let’s talk about resolutions for NHL teams…

Something I did a couple of years ago that was popular on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day was to release several blogs over the course of the two days talking about the individual teams, so that’s what I’m gonna do…. I’m gonna get into a lot of rumors and, of course, plenty of speculation because isn’t that what New Year’s Eve is all about?

My plan is to write about the New Year’s resolutions for the GMs of the NHL. So that’s not only talk about the trade deadline, but talk about the summer, of course. Because we’re talking about the entire year of 2025.

My stories will start early New Years Day. and go through the weekend… I’m also likely to throw in a few wacky predictions, which I like to do for each team.

But first, I want to hear what your New Years resolutions are for your teams or even yourself, personally? You can feel safe to share private things. It’s only the IInternet.
