The Columbus Blue Jackets continue their road trip through Broadway as the Jackets and New York Rangers battle for their third meeting of four and second and final time at Madison Square Garden.
Deadline Moves
New York moved on from former Senators’ defender Erik Branstrom for forward Nicolas Aube-Kuebel. Defenseman Carson Soucy was acquired via trade for a 2025 third round pick. Forward Reilly Smith was dealt back to Vegas for forward Brandon Brisson and the pick moved for Soucy. Forward Jusso Parssinen and defender Calvin De Haan were also acquired for defender Ryan Lindgren and forward Jimmy Vessey.
The Columbus Blue Jackets claimed forward Christian Fischer off the waiver wire from the Detroit Red Wings. Columbus also acquired forward Luke Kunin from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for the 4th round pick of this year’s draft originally owned by the St. Louis Blues from the Alexandre Texier trade.
Preview
New York is coming off a back to back after battling the Rangers in Ottawa yesterday afternoon. Getting them while they’re fatigued will increase the spread.
