The Habs hit a bump in the road on their way to clinching a playoff spot. That bump was the Ottawa Senators on Friday night.
The win by Ontario's other team last night, pretty much solidifies the Senators in the wild card 1 spot, and perhaps a collision course with the Leafs in the first round.
The Montreal loss on Friday, ended their 6 game win streak, and keeps them 6 points up on Columbus for wild card two. The Blue Jackets host the Capitals on Saturday afternoon.
Habs are 7-4-2 this season on the back end of playing on consecutive days.

Leafs are 2-1-0 against Canadiens this season, Montreal with just 5 goals in the 3 games.
Toronto has won 9 straight at home against Montreal, Habs scoring 2 or fewer goals in 8 of the games.

Leafs have a 5 game home win streak. Outscoring their opponent 23-7. Toronto got help last night from the Red Wings, who beat Tampa in OT. Detroit clinging to their playoff life.

Here's what's left in the Atlantic
TOR 100 vs MTL, at CAR, at BUF, vs DET
TBL 98 vs BUF, vs FLA, at NYR
FLA 96 vs BUF, vs NYR, at TBL
Matthews goes into tonights game with 398 career goals. He has 16 goals in 15 career home games against Montreal.

Montembeault was in net on Friday night, allowing 4 goals. He's only played on back to back days, twice this season. Dobes is 2-4-2 in his last 10 games, with a 3.68GAA, .885sv%.
I shall return Sunday morning to look at the fresh playoff picture.
