A "Thumbs Up" to Ed Snider from Bernie Parent ... |

I am pleased to share here two images that I took yesterday (October 19, 2017) at the dedication of the new statue of the late Flyers' Chairman
Ed Snider just outside of and below the windows of his office at the
Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. I was lucky enough to catch my longtime friend and Hall of Fame goalie
Bernie Parent just as he gave a heartfelt
"Thumbs Up" to the man who ran the club for almost half a century at the statue's dedication ceremony on the
fiftieth anniversary of the first ever Flyers' home game which took place just a few hundred feet away in the now departed
Spectrum on October 19, 1967.
Just seven years later Parent led the expansion Flyers to its first
Stanley Cup with a 1-0 shut out of the Boston Bruins at the Spectrum on May 19, 1974.
