Coyotes Still Off Until the Weekend

The Coyotes don't play until Saturday against the San Jose Sharks.

They remain two points out of the playoffs and six points out of the NHL's basement.

If the Coyotes were any other team, and if they didn't desperately need to make the Playoffs - because of their financial situation and their long suffering fans - I'd be suggesting a full on tank to try and get Jack Hughes.

With Antti Raanta and Nick Schultz out for the season, it is such a long shot that they make it anyways, that stripping the team and stocking up on draft picks wouldn't be a terrible idea.

I can see both sides here and whichever way they want to go makes sense to me. If they can add in a way that improves their team in the future, that'd probably be for the best.

Other than that, nothing doing.

I got a book in the mail - JR by William Gaddis, if that's your thing. It's certainly mine. I am a huge fan of giant-ass books and this is a beaut. It's 800 pages of unattributed dialogue without chapter breaks.

I've run out of Pynchon books so hopefully this satisfies my greed for insane maximalist fiction.

I also enjoyed the return of Broad City, which I think is the best show currently on TV. While I think I already mentioned my devotion to the new Vampire Weekend songs.

The ice rink is going well and I received ten dollars in royalty payments on my book which is NSFW or really anywhere but continues to sell .2 copies per week.

At this rate I should be making friends with Stephen King any time. Speaking of which, his newest book really sucked, but I'll let it slide cause most of his books are awesome. My favorite is Tommyknockers.

If I was in charge of the Coyotes, I'd look into Radko Gudas.

Discussion Question: who would win in a fight: Steven Seagal vs Andrew Dice Clay?

Random DMX reference.

Peace.
