Coyotes Shut-Out the Flames and Keep Hope Alive

Coming off a terrible loss the Ducks earlier in the week, which had broken their six game winning streak, the Coyotes held the Flames off the board last night for a 2-0 victory.

The Coyotes couldn't get any out of town scoreboard help, and they remain three points out of the playoffs, despite going a solid 8-2 in their last ten.

Helping out the Coyotes was the return of Christian Dvorak earlier in the week, as well as Jason Demers and Michael Grabner.

Demers was supposed to be out for the season, and Grabner missed 40 games with an eye injury, so their returns were extremely welcome.

Darcey Kuemper, who has been nothing short of amazing, picked up the shut-out.

The game itself was pretty exciting as Calgary pulled their goalie for about 15 minute (Technically, it was 4, but it felt like 15) and there was even a penalty shot, which Hinostroza missed.

It kind of sucks that the Coyotes beat the Flames but lost to the Ducks, but what can you do? It's hard to complain about the insane run they've been on.

They will get back at it Saturday against the Kings.

The Coyotes and their fans will be watching closely tonight as the Minnesota Wild take on the Panthers.

Fun times!
