The Anaheim Ducks announced today that they’ve signed goaltender Calle Clang to a three-year entry-level contract.
Clang is 19 years old and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He was acquired by the Ducks at the trade deadline, as part of the trade package that sent Rickard Rakell to Pittsburgh.
Clang has posted solid numbers in Sweden’s top professional league, managing a .915 save percentage through 17 games this season. He presents as a solid prospect for the Ducks and adds even more organizational depth in net.
The financial terms of the deal were not released.
