The San Jose Sharks announced five additions to their hockey operations staff yesterday.
Scott Fitzgerald has been named as Director of Player Personnel. Fitzgerald had spent the last 16 years in various roles with the Boston Bruins and had also spent seven years scouting for the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to that.
Tom Holy will join the Sharks as Assistant General Manager. Holy comes from an interesting background for an assistant GM, having recently been the Dallas Stars’ Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting. He had previously been the Sharks’ media relations manager prior to joining the Stars in 2013.
Todd Marchant has been named Director of Player Development, Senior Advisor. Marchant has spent the last 12 years as Director of Player Development with the Anaheim Ducks.
Chris Morehouse has been named Director of Amateur Scouting. He spent the last two seasons as Director of Scouting for the New York Rangers and had also spent seven years with the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to that.
Ryan Stewart will join the organization as Pro Personnel, Senior Advisor. Stewart spent the last 16 years with the Chicago Blackhawks, most notably as Assistant General Manager for the majority of the last two years.
