I can't say that I am surprised. Adams had that goofy confidence at his press conference, and a nonchalant attitude that he might already know what he was going to do. As I stated before, for Lindy to take the job he has to have supreme conviction that he will succeed. The Cinderella story out of nowhere. Unfinished business. The redemption song.

He and Kevin are splashing each other as they skinny dip in Spaulding Lake laughing their heads off.

Our General Manager has made his last hire and he knows it. I have to give him credit to have the guts to do it. There is no turning back. He will be a hero, or a zero.

Although I am aware that this move is going to disturb and confuse many loyal fans who wanted something fresh and different, I absolutely love and understand this choice. Ruff has adapted to the new NHL and and has had success, but he also is hard nosed and doesn't take any guff. He knows how to push buttons, and he has no problem putting someone in the press box. Although this might be a short tenure before he possibly moves upstairs, I am ready to see how this unfolds.

It is exactly the right time for him to take the reigns. We are starving for an immediate impact. If his destiny to take us to the promise land is fulfilled, it will be one of the greatest sports stories that Buffalonians will be talking about for eternity. Bring it on is what I say. I know he is ready. I know he loves this city and understands the gravity of the situation. He will give it his all and will not accept nights off from his players. If it is a skate to the keester that is needed, it will happen promptly. Even though he never left, one of the best bench bosses in the history of the Sabres is coming home. I wish him the best and look forward to writing about this team with him at the helm. For him to take this job he has to have the confidence to punch this thing to the top.

As he once said, "You live by the stick, you die by the stick".

Jump on board, it is going to be a wild ride.

The only thing we have to deal with is him sniffing between statements during his post game interviews, as he drinks out of a water bottle every two seconds.. Lol.

Still, and always will be my favorite sports franchise. Let this new chapter begin. I am excited.

Thanks,
