Marty Biron: By my friend Dominik |

**Note: I chose the photo of Rick because for sure, Marty Biron's season was tied like a brick to DiPietro.
Dominik from Lighthouse Hockey always writes some of the best researched articles in the Isles Blogosphere. Here is his newest on
Marty Biron.
Now, Biron was quite a hotly debated subject from the beginning of the season to the end, but looking back I think it was an insurance policy that was well worth it.
Dominick brings up a favorite memory of his from this season with Biron, I was thinking maybe you'd like to supply your own. Of course you can comment at SB Nation or here at HB. It's up to you. I think we're going to be looking for topics to discuss for a little while until news of anything starts to trickle through the cracks at the barn.
Of course, there's the other little Lighthouse situation that many of us discussed over the weekend. If you have any interest in the political football that is the Lighthouse Project, you can check out LetThereBeLighthouse.blogspot.com, NYIFanCentral (be prepared to sit for awhile with that one), or my own at my 7thwoman.blogspot.com site.
If not, let's just talk hockey here.
Okay, my favorite Marty Biron moment on the ice was during that pre-season game that he engaged in an altercation after the hit on Kyle Okposo. Goalie fights are rare and always make you jump from your seat. Whether it's the amount of equipment they have on that makes them look like Transformers, or the fact that there are rules about them leaving their crease; when a goalie starts fighting it's more intense then when enforcers do.
My favorite OFF-ICE moment with Marty came in Philly when he told me he reads my articles here at HockeyBuzz.com. He made me blush. So here's to Marty Biron and the season that was with the NY Islanders. It may not have turned out the way it was expected, but it was certainly memorable.
Happy Monday HBers!
