I am not one to post quick blogs, etc...but I am told Brady Tkachuk is very close to signing a long term deal with the Ottawa Senators. I know many fans are going to ask what are the terms, etc...

It will be one of two deals, 6 years at a higher AAV, in the range of 8.5 to 8.75 or an 8 year deal with an AAV of 8 million. Currently the bonus structure and if the deal is back loaded are the final touches being put on the contract.

The biggest take away I had with speaking to sources close to both camps is that a bridge deal won't be signed, unless at the 24th hour things went sideways. I can't see that happening after the progress between both sides over the last 48 hours.

My hope is a deal is announced in the next 24 hours. One source said, expect to see Brady in Ottawa by the weekend.

Lastly, the rookie game between Ottawa and Montreal will be televised on the Sens Youtube Channel this Saturday at 4pm EST.
