Kevin Gibson on Leafs: Oops they did it again.

Once again the Leafs blew a multi goal lead. It's like a broken record or a scratched CD. Toronto dominated the first period. At the end of 20 minutes Leafs were up 2-0 and outshot Predators 12-6. An then that was it for the offense. Managing only 14 shots the rest of the way and a disallowed goal which was questionable, I guess the NHL offices had a different look at the Laughton tip in then we saw on TV. Instead of 3-0, it was back to 2-0 and Nashville had life. They scored 5 unanswered goals (one into an empty net). This was a team that scored 3 goals in their last 4 games, that outskated the Leafs in the final 40 minutes.

March Madness for Toronto is blowing leads. 3-0 vs Utah, Leafs won in a shootout, up 4-2 vs Avs, lost 7-4, 2-0 against the Sharks in third period and lost in a shootout, 2-0 in Pittsburgh and won in OT. Eight points given away by Toronto, just in March and outside of Colorado, this certainly wasn't top of the line competition, these teams are playing for participant ribbons at this point in the season, not over coming multi goal deficits against one of the NHL's best teams.

Panthers and Lightning both lost Saturday night as well, so status quo in the Atlantic.

Florida and Tampa both play again today, Panthers at home against Penguins and, Lightning visit Vegas.

Toronto returns to the ice on Tuesday against the Flyers. Unless they have a puck free practice on Monday to think about what they've done of late.
