After a scoreless 20 minutes, Anthony Beauchamp opened the scoring in the second period and Tyler Holland doubled Trois-Rivieres’ lead before the second intermission. Adirondack cut the deficit to one goal in the final frame with a goal while killing a penalty. Xavier Cormier ended the Thunder’s chances of tying the match by adding an empty netter in the final minute of regulation.
Successful Month
The Lions completed the month of November with eight wins in 10 contests and currently sit third place in the North Division behind the Wheeling Nailiers and Norfolk Admirals. The Canadiens ECHL affiliate are in a good battle for the top spot as they hold two games in hand against the Nailers and four on the Admirals.
Jakov Novak led the way offensively by collecting 14 points during the month. He was rewarded by being recalled by the Rocket on Monday. Chris Jandric led the defencemen with 11 points in November.
Between the pipes, Luke Cavallin won all four of his starts with 1.25 goals against average and .957 save percentage
