Flames GM Brad Treliving wanted Oliver Kylington to play in North America and he's going to get his wish.

Kylington's club team in Sweden, AIK, has granted him permission to come overseas and play in North America next season, according to a report from Expressen.

It had previously been reported that in the event Kylington didn't make the Flames he would have to return to Sweden to play for AIK as they had second priority to his rights.

That means playing in the AHL with Stockton or joining the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings was not a possibility.

That's no longer the case, obviously, as some strings were pulled and Treliving will now have the luxury of assigning Kylington to Stockton or Brandon should he wish to do so.
