The Fourth Period’s head writer David Pagnotta has listed San Jose Sharks’ defenseman Mario Ferraro to the Ottawa Senators ahead of the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline on March 7th.
Ferraro, 26, is a 2017 second round draft selection, 49th overall, from the Sharks’ organization. He has 85 points in 387 games in San Jose.
Ferraro and Joshua Norris were part of the same draft class, but never played together due to the Erik Karlsson trade. More on him and a reunion later on in the week.
Ferraro did share the ice with Noah Gregor during their first couple of seasons in California.
The left shooting defenseman makes $3.25M for the remainder of this season and next.
He has been linked to Colorado (teammates with Makar at UMaas Amherst); Tampa (played with Mitchell Chaffee), and Winnipeg.
