I got this from a source close to the Hawks last week:
"And the team has interns as well as paid employees who constantly monitor this site, the Blackhawks site, etc. This is their only duty everyday!
They post both good and bad things, they bait, they will try to contact you to see where your "info" is coming from etc. (I think it shouldnt be that hard to figure out some of them)"
This practice by companies/brands trying to control the message in the blogosphere is pretty widely documented by the way. |

That says a lot about who has the most control of this team. More concerned about controlling the message rather than sending the message of "we want to win now!!!" |

Ha, love Trader Kenny, he wants to win. - John Jaeckel
I'm not a big Reinsdorf fan, but Trader Kenny also has an owner who wants to win and let's his GM get things done. |

Reinsdorf lets the GM be the GM , 1 accountable guy :Kenny Wiliams. Not a sorry ass board of directors like the Hawks. |

That's what I was thinking. They get bigger, they get Centers, they get much more physical. Erixon is NHL ready which is a plus, or just keep him in the AHL next season. The 1st is in a deep draft. All players are young. The hawks imo lack solid depth on their roster - this kind of deal would help the Hawks on a lot of fronts imo.
I think then Bolland could be dealt for a solid LW or packaged with Hammer for a big time upgrade at D. Don't know about goaltenders. Not much out there right now imo if they won't pay to get Lu.
jmo. - moylander
I would probably make the trade, also. But I don't thnk I would trade Bolland. There are a bunch of players I would deal before him in a package. Even if they wouldn't have as much value |

I heard they are paid pretty well. We know that Christobal Huet was monitoring web sites for last two years and now Olesz is one of them..

When it is all said and done, with much more said than Doan...er done, I would hope our new PP can move Tazer away from beatings standing on top of G and perhaps move him top top of slot. Good starting point to avoid beatings and take advantage of his shot and vision with puck as a start.
Don't anticipate additions at this point. Time to look at what coaching staff can do to maximize talent we have....
Btw, recently heard about this site and think JJ and followers add a lot to hockey community of Chicagoland. Nice to be able to debate, discuss, and think hockey.
Keep up great work!! |

If we are doing trade returns for Kane based off of rumors or trades (i.e. Nash trade) Does Chicago do this one for Kane?

My info is coming from the fact that there has been 2 years of one and done. That shouldnt be hard to see that the nation is getting restless. This team just needs the few puzzle pieces that Bowman and company fail to get. |

Then if that is the barrier to the hawks success Rocky needs to do something about it. He has not. |

I pass. The nash deal gets the hawks bigger and more physical + fills a big need at Center. Erixon is a bigger DMan as well (if he pans out). While talented players.... Stafford, Adam, Sekera, 1st imo doesn't improve the hawks in the same manner. |

You're right, I went back and forth some last year. You seem to like taking things out of their larger context to make your point however.
I have ALWAYS said this team is close.
What is so maddening is the way Bowman nickels and dimes million dollar problems and defaults to talking about an uncertain stable of prospects who are years out as the answer.
I think you just don't like (or don't want to like) cynicism about this regime. - John Jaeckel
That last statement couldn't be further from the truth. There is a lot to be critical of with the front office. However, Im just a realist and not someone who constantly changes their views based on the last trade or signing made. I think you completely missed the point of that post on HF boards though. It had nothing to do with the team or the front office. The entire post referred to the back and forth/wishy washy views of the fan base. That is what I was referring to. Nothing at all with the front office.
As soon as someone makes a comment that isn't overly negative about the front office though you're quick to call them a Bowman apologist and the like. Is it possible that you're overly critical and sometimes can't see the forest through the trees bc of it?
You made the point about the trades in the 2010 offseason coming up craps. This is exactly what the HF poster meant and what I meant when I said even you go back and forth. What he did that offseason was pretty magical. No one thought he would ever get as many high picks and prospects coming back since he was trading from a place of no leverage. I was in ny a few months after and talked to Jeff Gorton who was the Bruins interim gm and now Sathers assistant and he said the same thing. He and the gms he talked to was shocked at what Bowman was able to pull from those deals.
You yourself talked about how great Bowman did that offseason getting what he did. Now it came up craps?
You can say well those prospects didn't pan out. They didn't really get a shot either. You need an opportunity and it's practically impossible for prospects to get that opportunity on a cup contender. Bottom line is Bowman was praised so highly for what he got in those trades and now a cpl years later he's the worst Gm in the world and has never done a single thing well.
Exactly what that post talked about and he couldn't be more accurate. |

This team is close but Stan has failed to get those missing pieces.
Not one impact player has been added in the past two years to take this team to the next level. Brunette, Odonell, Carcillo, Montador, Olesz and company are all proof that management has failed. Rocky not recognizing this inactivity or letting this happen means he has also failed.
It's one thing to have a GM not improving his team but it's quite another to have the owner stand by and lets this happen! This means were up$hit creek and this years results should not be much different then the last two years.
This is not too be negative....it's just reality.
Until this current approach on building our team changes the results should be the same.....6th to 8th team with a first or second round exit. If this is what Rocky wants for his fans then the fans should also think twice about spending top dollars to see this team.

Lol I guess not. Let's try again..
-Bowman is the worst Gm in hockey history.
-He lost every trade he ever made.
-He is going to run this franchise into the ground.
...Unless he wins the cup and then he will be a God.
Better? |
