Let's try to avoid this devolving into politics. BUT . . .
HFCS.
Thanks to the corn and agriculture lobby and their dupes at the USDA, almost singlehandedly driving up rates of type 2 diabetes (and this cardiovascular disease) here in the US. Which we are all paying for, whether we get it or not. Even corn, by itself, or in the form of corn chips, corn meal, etc., is the basis for bad diets. Corn has a very high glycemic content relative to other vegetables. Bad business all the way around. - John Jaeckel

Kuc retreating from JSportsnet: The arena agreement with the City of Glendale and the NHL which expires on July 31, will be extended for another 31 days.
So - no decision on an owner for another 31 days?
No decision for Doan for another 31 days?

I've been deer hunting the past 15 years in Wisc. Pike county is awesome but try to get to Buffalo Co in Wisconsin too. Massive bucks and you can use a rifle!
I hunt in Grant county which is great. I typically get 10 pointers and had a 14 pointer that scored 160 on the Boone and Crockett scale.

They are but they aren't exactly coveted by most for their meat. Kinda like the Asian Carp...there are people who enjoy eating them but most just enjoy getting rid of them.
Atleast this is according to a good friend I have in Texas. |

Yotes are screwed. The owners are $20 million short and in this economy it's going to be tough to raise that kind of money especially looking at the track record of profit for NHL teams.
I think Doan is gone because the money he is being offered is way to much to pass up. |

I agree he may finally leave..
2 reasons really...
The NHL is getting tired of this and they have already stayed too long in AZ imo plus...
Doan has a few years left and can make a lot more more $$ elsewhere.
Somwhere Bob Murray is sitting back and licking his chops becasue the price for Ryan is going through the roof.
Someone like Philly or Pitt is going to miss out on Doan and then swing even bigger for Ryan.
He is younger, cheaper and a better scorer than Doan. |

Only reason I said bad satire is because.....
Satire isn't suppose to rely on so many made up quotes...You should be able to know it is phony and still appreciate the humor. |

If you read the Patrick Kane story, you can tell. Or the Lou Lamorello extending his contract with Satan...
Guess I should have scrolled down. |

Got that right on type-2...And the way we went about screwing over the sugar industry was also bad business.
It's good for cattle and chicken feed. Besides I like a good serving of corn on the cob now and then. Especially with a lot of small farms not too far from me.
My gripe about the fuel side is ethanol is horrible investment as the technology stands today. Not enough BTUh for too many $$$ to process AND livestock feed is being burned to boot. |
