And no. Not because I'm an idiot Philadelphian that believes I know everything about everything and therefore hate Lee because he has an ERA over 3 this year.

I want him to be traded because, realistically, he is the only player left on this team with value within the MLB and should get a great young return for a team in need of....a great young return.

I'd hate to see him go, and I'd love it just the same.

If we trade anything more than a 2nd rounder and a middle of the road prospect to Calgary I'll be irate.

If the Flyers added Bouwmeester right now, he'd immediately be their 2nd best defenseman. My only issue with him is the cap hit.

I'd like to see them go after BJ Upton too. It kind of goes against what I just said, but I wouldn't have much of an issue shelling out 8-10 mill a year over 5-7 years to a 28 year old who still has to tap some nice potential.

Asche and Franco are pretty good prospects. Asche started out terrible when promoted to reading, but he's settled down and doing well.

I don't like JBo because he's not a great defenseman and is being paid like a superstar. He's awful in that regard. Not exactly an off the wall opinion.

I've always seen him as soft, also. But he's been in the Western Conference so I don't know for sure.

I think Upton would be a MAJOR addition if the Phils got him. He shouldbe the Phils number 1 target

He isn't elite, but he is a good defenseman.

He could be more physical given his size, but he's better offensively than he's been in Calgary. He is an excellent skater, good passer & good shot. But he's never put together all the physical tools, which is a shame because he has elite level tools.

The Flyers could see if the Flames would take Walker in the deal. With the existing cap space, plus the potential $8.91mm in LTIR for Pronger & Meszaros, fitting him is not hard.

The thing about the cap hit is at this point with $10 million in LTIR does it even matter for this season? And with Kimmo off the books they could afford jaybo in his final year next season. Big if, but if he finds his game again it would be nice to have the inside track to resign him. He's only 28. If he makes the team better.... get him. Jmo.

Let's not pretend his contract looks like Luongo, hossa, or Prongers. It's 2 years.
