I would definitely like to see Homer slightly overpay for Carlo then overpay for J-Bo. Even with his injury history, I would go to a third year to get Carlo and slightly overpay for around $2.75 million/yr. If Carlo is signed, still have assets to acquire a stud d-man in a trade if one can be worked out.
Its ashame the Coyote ownership situation is such a mess. They have a lot of young defensive assets and not much forward depth. Certainly both the Flyers and Yotes have the assets to offer each other in a significant trade.

The important point is that they aren't giving up any assets if they sign Carlo.

I think Carlo would be a fine addition. I still think a bigger deal can be accomplished to acquire a young stud d-man. Of course, I think it will take young forwards off the current rostor to do. The Yotes are absolutely loaded with young, defensive talent. I think something could get done with them, but Maloney's hands have to be tied until the ownership situation is resolved.

Frandsen has hit over .300 the last 2 years in AAA but with no power at all. His glove has been a pleasant surprise so far. i'd love to see him and Katz keep ig going and make a run for the 25 man squad next year. - jstross
to rip off the movie Moneyball, who cares about power as long as he gets on base! for real tho the phils need a guy that can hit consistently especially with runners in scoring position.

I'm pulling for Frandsen and Kratz. Hoping they turn out to be upgrades over Schneider and Polanco or minimally Wiggington. Horst looks to be a nice BP option. Phils aren't as far off as their record indicates. They're still playing with 4 of their relief arms down, a backup catcher and a backup 3B. it's very fixable.

They definitely gotta fix that bullpen otherwise forget it. Halladay can't pitch into the 8th inning forever. Wonder if Cholly gets the axe this year too. Wasn't too happy when they hired him but hell he did win a world series.

As long as I get to watch my hockey. Of course, even if that became a concern a Chickie's and Pete's opened a block from my apartment, I hear they have an enormous TV.

Worst case, just buy a beer or two through the game, keep the bill light.

I just ate an order of burger king onion rings for dinner (the dinner of champions, as we're all aware). Looking at the few remaining, and reflecting on my just finished meal, I can't say they looked or tasted like onions. It was just fried friedness.

I do not think I'll be repeating this meal. - BulliesPhan87
I grilled lemon pepper chicken and steak with a 5 pepper marinade. With Cajun shrimp and corn on cob. All on grill. Yum
