I think J-Bo will be better with a new team. His cap hit is high, but it is only for two years. However, I'm hoping Homer (which he probably already is doing) is thinking much more long-term about trying to address the d situation. You have to believe guys like Laughton and Cousins can take top 9 roles over the next couple of years, allowing Homer to move assets off the current roster to acquire a potential #1 d-man. |

Because he's on an over-35 contract, the Flyers are going to be stuck with Lilja's cap hit even if he's waived to the AHL. So might as well let him do his rehab and stick around team for depth. - bmeltzer
Do you feel the Flyers will be very handcuffed this season? And, realistically where do you think the Flyers will finish? The more and more I think about it, this might be a throw away season. Slow starts, which at this point will probably be inevitable, usually ruin teams right? |

Anyone else think that once JBo gets to the playoffs for the first time in his career, he will transform into the beast everyone knows he can be? |

If the league does lockout Columbus just takes another hit. They are to host the next All Star game |

A shame I didn't know much about him when I saw him play. Knew of others going in. - ob18
let's be honest we're not all NHL scouts here and the Flyers have done a decent job with their draft picks (mainly forwards) i might be wary if the Flyers had drafted a dman given their track record with them, (isn't terry murry coaching the phantoms again? that might help) |

Well in 2014 the Olympics are back so if they go it would probably have to be pushed back to 2015 for them to host. - ob18

No doubt, I had went into that game to watch Cody Ceci and Boone Jenner (funny enough is a Columbus pick)
I was then told plenty by the crowd around me to watch 2013 draftee Sean Monahan and since the game was a blow out Oshawa seemed to just want the game to end fast.

I know, Laughton might not either so it really wouldn't have hurt to take one but it's all good with what they did it's a strength of theirs anyway. |

Any word on this mysterious injury he was saddled with? - 77rams
No mystery. Shoulder/back issues were the main problem in Philly. He also had a lower-body injury (not sure specifically what) that put him on the shelf for awhile in Tampa midway through the season. |

I'd personally have taken Määttä but I'm OK with the Laughton selection.

Why dont we have Pavel Kubina in the top six? I know he was hurt in the playoffs but that dude is huge. If there is a reason why he cant I didnt hear about it. I just assumed he was still a Flyer. Am I wrong?
- Flyers_1488
hes finished. And Briere isnt going anywhere either. the guy is money in the playoffs. |
