I think J-Bo will be better with a new team. His cap hit is high, but it is only for two years. However, I'm hoping Homer (which he probably already is doing) is thinking much more long-term about trying to address the d situation. You have to believe guys like Laughton and Cousins can take top 9 roles over the next couple of years, allowing Homer to move assets off the current roster to acquire a potential #1 d-man.

J-Bo is not old either. I think he's 28?

He's an unrestricted free agent. Prefers to live/play in Florida at this point (allegedly turned down a two-year offer from Columbus this summer, but can't verify that). Tank appeared to be empty last season, and Flyers told him they were moving on -- that was before July 1, but the team still does not appear interested in even a one-year deal.

Thank you.... I didnt know the Flyers didnt want him back!!

Anyone else think that once JBo gets to the playoffs for the first time in his career, he will transform into the beast everyone knows he can be?

have a feeling he will be a better player in the Eastern conference. and playing for something might help too. He does have the potential of being a top two or 3 d man, IMHO

I'm not sure where J-Bo's offensive production went in Calgary. If the Flyers would add him, I would think he would be in the Carle role on the second pairing with Coburn and Grossman being the shut down d pairing.

I see he has played 25 games in the NHL. I don't know really anything about him. Why do you think he has top pairing potential? More importantly, if he is so highly regarded, why would the Sabres want to trade him? I like Meyers and certainly he is a fixture, honestly I'm not as sold on the rest of the d core in Buffalo (just my opinion, not trying to be a troll).

OK
I suggest you go back and read all the posts!
I said before that he is NOT gonna be traded.
He got size, speed, great puck movement, and hits anything and everything on his path. Enuff said.

Ok, I was merely trying to create conversation. Maybe you missed "I wasn't trying to be a troll" comment. Next time, you may want to read my comment before being defensive.

I appreciate your clarification. I appreciate other fans discussing trade possbilities involving the Flyers. I wish more fans wouldn't simply shoot down proposals that the other teams' guy stinks, and of course our guy has much more value.

The report on him is that he has some skating issues. But if you've seen him play, I'll take your word on it.

He has some speed. He just doesn't have much of a first step and he's still not a great technical skater; put simply, he'll likely never rely on his skating to be dominant.

He's a good defensive defencemen and excellent at playing the game physical, but smart. Not sure how much of the offensive ability will translate to the NHL and ultimately turn into points. Regardless, he is still more skilled then most and that will ultimately help him into establishing himself at, a bare minimum, a solid puck mover.

Thats Brayden McNabb...

Can the Flyers obtain JayBo for Picks and prospects or will it take more. What would be a fair deal for the Flyers and the Flames?
