Not too many defensemen can play 26 minutes/game against the top line of other teams.

He may not be elite, but he's just a notch below.

- bradleyc4

I would put him lower then just a notch below elite. He's a solid player. But if Weber, Chara, and Doughty are elite to name a few. Bowmeester isn't close to that level. Bouwmeester is much closer to Coburn's level, then he is to those players.

Seriously though, this is spot on.

Now imagine paying someone on Coburn's level 6.7...

No thanks

25- Zezel over Primeau

55- Primeau over Gratton

Gratton doesnt deserve to be on the list. Especially over PZ's mullet.

something tells me if Jbo came here, we might change our opinions a little bit, just a hunch. Besides as depleted as this lineup is I know I'd be less concerned about overpaying for a player that adds something you need to the lineup.

I'd put him more in with Suter, Girardi and Seabrook camp.

Bouwmeester isn't close to that level. Especially not Seabrook. Seabrook is one of the top 2 way defenseman in the entire League.

Primeau never wore 55 with the Flyers, as far as I can remember. Wore it with the Red Wings and Whalers/Hurricanes.

I thought the same thing, especially Seabrooke

Suter without Weber will be interesting to see how he does

I'm almost positive he wore it briefly he did when first traded, i could be wrong. But I still stand that we should F Gratton and honor Zezel's mullet hahahahaha

I don't deny he's a solid player, Anne Frankly ( ), a player we are in dire need of.

Hell we're in dire need of BODIES on the blueline, let alone specific players :aah

But I just can't get over 6.8....that's franchise Dman money....

Under the circumstances its feasible. If you get a flat and all you have is a cheap manufacturer donut spare, you ride on the spare.

Even if the spare costs more than the tires?

And by costs more, I don't mean salary- I mean what the Flames are asking for

we don't know what they are asking for. Unless you're listening in on the phone call between homer and feaster.

Can't argue with that logic. Let me rephrase.

It's been speculated that the spare is gonna cost a fortune. Would a spare that costs more than the tires in cost (the Flame's return in the trade) and upkeep (JBo's salary) be worth it?

Depends on how bad do you wanna get where you wanna go? If the Flyers don't have a blueline stocked properly they could be going nowhere.

But if you give too much and don't have enough money for gas, you won't get to where you want to go either
