If i am picking by line needs, I take Brindy over Giroux, otherwise I go
Poulin, Clarke, E, and G

Those were mine, too.

I'm already thinking about the goalie vote. I would think there will be 2 slots, and it will be interesting.

This lockout needs to end. Other than watching Vick get beat like a dog (pun completely intended) yesterday, I have almost 0 emotional connection to the NFL anymore and I think the phillies are just about officially cooked.

I think the goaltender vote is fairly clear cut.

1. Bernie
2. Hextall

Unfortunately Pelle's body of work isn't large enough to put him second imo.

Clarke, Lindros, Forsberg, Poulin......all had talent and snarl.

I can't remember a Flyers coach saying Brindy was the best player in the world. I would take Giroux.

It is always a struggle for me to compare players from different periods. My gut feeling is that if Clarke and Lindros played in the same time frame, Lindros would be the better player. Simply stated, he is genetically bigger, stronger, and more intimidating.

My picks as well. I hated to leave off Rick MacLeish, however.

I agree, although it could be said that Pelle's All-Star season as a rookie, Vezina season in 1984-85 and first six weeks of the 1985 season prior to the accident were equal or better to Hexy's best body of work as a Flyer.

If Pelle hadn't died....would he have out dueled a Rookie Patrick Roy out of the Wales Conference into the Finals in 86.....then past a young Flames team in the finals?.....I would like to think so.

He'd have had to outduel Vanbiesbrouck in the first round as well -- and Beezer (the Vezina winner that year) played out of his mind against the Flyers in that series.

Didn't help that Froese's play took a dip in that series, as well. As good as Beezer played, Froese's seemingly annual playoff dip happened.

I struggled there as well but I couldn't leave Brind'Amour off.

Why are so many people picking Forsberg?

He was a shell of himself when he was a Flyer.

When he was healthy he was still great. I couldn't leave him off. I don't see how people could put Poulin or Brindy ahead of Giroux

Body of work. It's certainly not skill set. In 2014 I'm sure there will be a huge shift toward Giroux if he continues on pace.
