Absolutely. How in the World someone can think Recchi is a borderline HOF'er is beyond me. 577 goals and over 1500 points. It's a no brainer. - MJL
No question. Probably should have gotten the 'Lemieux' treatment and been voted in prior to retirement. Just a classy guy that has left every organization he has played for with a positive mark. I love Recchi and always will.

Agreed. He was never the best player on the ice but always a real PAIN to play against. Played with a lot of passion.

Not making a statement here, but to the board in general - is Recchi a HOF'er?
I would think yes but maybe on the borderline. But interested in some others opinions. - Daman
He's 100% a HOFer, but I hate him. I dont consider him a Flyer. My general thought in voting wasnt selecting the top players at their positions (really for the wingers) but more so putting a "team" together. I had to keep the best two lines in franchise history together. That is why i took Renberg over Propp.

What if he starts coaching and bets on hockey? 100%?
Pete Rose. Rick T.
Things happen.
Only things certain are death, taxes, and the Eagles inability to win a superbowl.
If Mike Richards (currently 2nd in the vote to virtual shoo-in Tocchet) beats out Dave Poulin, Rick MacLeish et al for the final roster spot, I'll honor the readers' final vote when I submit the roster to Ek for the fantasy league.
But before that, someone is going to have to restrain me from bashing my head into a brick wall a few times before I write my commentary tomorrow morning . Nothing against Richards, but there is no way in hell that he should get in over either Poulin over MacLeish. - bmeltzer
Lolol, I voted for Renberg because we would be fitting to have the LCB line AND the full legion of Doom line, and Shutlz, because come on... its Shultz.. lol
The only downside was it left me wanting more, and we're not going to get it for a while - BulliesPhan87
Me too.. Even though I knew the outcome it was exciting to see the shift to shift play while wondering when it was gonna come... Now we have to wait till god knows to see a meaningful game.
One thing for sure though... I am really excited to see these kids in action...

Amen, sir. Are any Phantoms games going to see airtime on CSN, I woner? I really hope I didn't sign up for HD cable in time to not get any hockey at all, I've been dying to finally get proper use out of my HDTV.

I hope CSN picks up a few, especially early on considering the Phils wont be playing..

It still freaks me out with about 10seconds left, Chara lets a shot go from the point, through a mass of people in front. ML never sees or reacts to it and it goes wide. From our perspective, the puck disappears when it reaches the players in front, then you see it appear behind the net, but for a second it looks like its in the net.......

I hate the guy and wouldn't vote for him here but if I was able to cast a HOF vote and for some reason he was borderline I'd have to cast my vote for him. He deserves it. I'd hope he did something embarrassing at his induction but hey, that's just me.

A play I caught last night that I'd forgotten: Late in the third, Giroux holds the puck in the Bruins zone for, like, 20 seconds. He's got multiple guys on him, and he just kept it going. JJ and Clement were going nuts watching him.

Damn it, why does there have to be a lockout? - BulliesPhan87

This is the moment I knew Giroux was going to be a beast in the future.
