It kind of bothers me that Bryz is scratched. Why do they think so little of him that he's the 3rd goalie?

Good question..however, I'd be just as happy if he only plays the odd game and practices hard.. I am worried that one of our guys might get hurt. Don't think the Rangers brass almost had a heart attack when Nash hurt his shoulder? |

Should we be reading anything into the fact Bryz was a scratch after his bad first appearance?
Did last year just shatter his confidence?
This lockout is BS and I'm sick of it already. I think the league is really going to hurt itself. If the entire season is lost they will lose a lot of viewers. I'd love to see what this does to bars and restaurants around arenas. |

I think it has more to with Stana playing so well (consecutive shutouts, 1 GA in appearance before that) than about Bryz's shaky first game.
I'm more worried about Fedotenko logging an average of over 21:30 per game so far for HC Donbass. He hasn't played minutes like that on an every-game basis since he was in the USHL. At the rate he's been rolled out there, he'll be gassed by January if there's a prolonged lockout. |

When will be the cutoff for the season?
If he is scratched on a regular basis it won't do good things to his already fragile head. I'm more concerned with his head than his actual ability to play, he was just broken mentally by the end of the season. The team needs his KHL experience to be a good one. |

His confidence didn't look shattered when he was NHL Player of the Month in March before the chip fracture in his foot. I thought he played pretty well in the New Jersey series, except for the one huge gaffe in Game 5. |

He has the ability it's his head I worry about. I hope his KHL experience is good and he comes back here playing strong. A lot of last year he just seemed lost. Before the lockout I was looking forward to him playing string after he got the first season as a Flyer under his belt. |

I'd like to see some of Terry Murray's philosophies rub off on Laviolette. Murray's teams always were sound defensively. When he was the Flyers Head Coach, a lead going into the 3rd was almost a guaranteed victory. Of course a lot of that had to do with having Joel Otto, Brind'Amour, and Shjon Podein also. |

Hearing Oct will be cancelled by thurs,...and also that they will cancel the season early, so that there is no "strong arming" by the NHLPA over the classic.
This lockout is suck a farce.....makes me want to puke |

The NHL doesn't want to cancel the Season. They will only do so if it becomes apparent that the Season is lost. I have a hard time believing they will cancel the Season early for that reason.

I think the word actually being reported was the first few games of the season not the entire season itself. |

I've always like terry murray, thought he should've gotten to stay after the "choking situation" comment. |

I think the myth-made-fact about his weak psyche is nothing more than media BS, which too many fans ate up like candy-coated poop. |

He is a character, but he's performed very well in tough playoff situations before, and he rallied very well last year, prior to the broken foot.
He's a talented goalie, I'm not ready to declare him awful after a shaky debut in the KHL, with little or no prep time and no camp. |

When someone says they are lost in the woods, then gives the interview at the winter classic, and ends the season with the interview about the fans being tough was off. The guy has the goods, he just needs to stop thinking so much and just play his game.
The interview where he says he wouldn't wish last season on an enemy to me is a guy that was never comfortable. I think when this next season starts he will be better. |
