I haven't been worried about the phantoms struggles since cout and schenn seem to be playing at the levels they should. What does bother me is that it seems the young blue liners the Flyers would count on if and when the season starts, are having troubles.

As for the Cousins situation I hope as a fan he clears his name however even if he is totally acquitted of all wrong doing I hope and feel that this exclusion from the team selection serves as a lesson to these players that they need to be smart in their extra-curricular activities.

Today, I am starting to have faith/hope again that there will be a season. While ek may be always too optimistic, even morgenti is starting to believe. It's now or never!!

Södertälje SK was unable to get financing to cover the hefty insurance premiums on Grossmann's contract extension with the Flyers that kicks in this season. He has been working out with a team in Division I(which is actually the third tier of Swedish hockey despite the name). The team said something a few weeks ago about making an effort of their own to offset the insurance premiums but I've heard nothing since then.

In Canada, section 11(d) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states: "Any person charged with an offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal".

If we can keep most of the current roster together for when Laughton and Cousins are in their 2nd/3rd seasons, the Flyers might have the best forward group in the NHL.

Completely agree. Imagine if we had Weber?? LOL... I am very content with our entire team except the D and I don't see us competing with the Rags until Homer fixes it. Having said that, I have full confidence that Homer makes it happen as long as the cap doesnt go down too far in the next CBA.

Welcome to the working world, get your ass brought up on charges, most employers consider you guilty until proven innocent. Quite frankly anytime these things happen even when the accused is innocent there were decisions made by the accused that left them vulnerable to such allegations.
