Another option is the Cornell-Harvard game on NBC Sports Network tonight. Two Flyers prospects in the game: defenseman Reece Willcox (Cornell) and winger Petr Placek (Harvard).

Willcox has hit the ground running in college hockey, although he's not a very offensive-minded D. That could come in time. He's done well thus far, especially for a true freshman. My gut feeling on Willcox is that he'll eventually be a pro; possibly even a third-pairing NHL defenseman someday.

Placek is a project and he really hasn't developed much in his season-plus of college hockey. But for a Czech kid to come to North America for prep school and get accepted into Harvard is pretty impressive in its own right.

I think they may at some point. Konan keeps getting minor injuries at practice but I think he has been "well enough" to play.

Just a series of day-to-day type of things that have popped up: Recently took puck to the face in practice, dealt with the flu, believe he had a badly bruised foot around time of season opener. Nothing that would render him unable to play for more than a game or two but he just hasn't been to get into the lineup.

Glad to see a great turnout this Friday.
