Easy.....Donald Fehr happened.
He is what he is ...a labor lawyer....he is not paid to care about hockey or its future. He is paid to squeeze out the best possible deal at any cost....leafs owner is correct ....that money will never be made up.....some players will lose millions for a year lost...seems worth it to me!!! |

We're not gonna see hockey for a long time, I hope they're out two years and several teams fold. |

Now Tanenbaum knows what it's like to be a Leafs fan. |

It sounds like the owners put the final offer on the table. Since the PA decided to try to squeeze a little more, they obviously overplayed their hand. Hearing all of the tweets, from the elite thinkers of the hockey universe, you gotta believe that they'd rather go down in flames, then try to save the season. At this point, I point my finger at the players, for trying to even a score, from the last CBA and now another season is about to be lost. If I'm the owners, I post the new CBA at the door to the dressing room, open camp and those who want to play, sign on the bottom line and we start the season with whoever decides to play. Bye bye, PA!! |

Teams will never fold during the lockout. Most teams that are losing money are losing less money during a lockout than they are if they are playing.
When hockey restarts however, then they might be in trouble. |

I have not been a great fan of Tanenbaum. But this time, I believe him. The cordial Tuesday meeting was probably in good faith, but then I believe the Fehr factor reared it's ugly head. The PA can spin it any way they want, but I'm certain that it was nothing but a ruse, to try and extort more money. Like a rat in a trap, they squirm to get away. Too late!!! The rat that is the PA has just had it's neck snapped! Time to cancel this season and move on. Go ahead and decertify. All you'll get is contracts that are not going to be guaranteed. Go ahead players, Russia is calling. Enjoy Siberia and all of those antiquated aircraft. You won't be missed!! |

Hows that. The other 25 teams make way more money as they won't have those 5 teams stealing their profits. The fans win because there is more talent to go around. Fu©k might as well fold 8 teams while their at it. To many teams stuck in markets that can't succeed. |

Or, you relocate teams to better markets and suddenly, they aren't losing money anymore.
Nobody wants to fold teams. The players lose jobs. The owners lose hundreds of millions of dollars.
The only logical solution is to relocate. |

Irrelevant. Not in the best interest of the league or it's players. |

The League is afraid of him.

When #NHLPA wanted Fehr back in room to close out deal yesterday, owners said it would be a deal breaker. Derailed process
