You and I won't, but there are certain cities that haven't seen it for years...they probably don't care.

congratulations sir, you are officially the coolest poster in the hockey forum. subsequently, your real world every day life suddenly has more merit. no more getting talked about at the water cooler as the sheltered wierd guy who surely rubs it out at his desk for you! operation compensate, win.

i'm suddenly overwhelmed with this sheer level of coolness you bring to the hockey forum. so much so, i'm considering googling a picture of a dreamy man crush for my avatar picture. you are redefining how cool it is to be cool.

OK that is hilarious. I am looking at trading in my Altima for a Mazda speed 3 or a Focus ST. My wife is complaining because they are both stick LOL.

Bob McKenzie tweeted that player contracts in a full Season this year, add up to over 1.95B.

It's impossible to make back what they lose.

- MJL

He's actually wrong. It's below 1.88B which is why players received a large Escrow.

Also, if you currently look at Capgeek, there's only 1.81B signed including contracts.

So players with the makewhole are actually making money!!!!

Sure it doesn't include some of the players that haven't signed yet, or players who are on 2way contracts, but it wont amount to the 1.88bil even counting those players.

So basically, Fehr is full of poop, and you choose to believe him for god knows what reason.

Bettman said it many times in interviews that he doesn't know where some of the #s by Fehr come from. The TSN pannel sometime don't know either.

You can argue that Capgeek is innacurate, but it's not. The truth is, Escrow was paid out this year, and last year, and the year before. This means that the players salary are less then their share.

Go with a Jaguar, used to be identified as an old mans car, but they are very very nice cars!

Very cool but I could never justify the cost just for a car.

I actually drive a BMW, and honestly, when you look into it, it's not that hard to justify. If you're going to pay $300 to lease a Ford Focus, start looking at a base BMW. It would probably be in the $400 a month range (320i is around there I think), but BMW includes all the maintenance on their cars, in their leases.

With the required service on a lease, it's going to be $500 or $600 a year, right? It starts to work out to a $50 a month difference. Not that bad anymore. And it's a way better car. And no worries with everything included.

As much as I hate to say it, for pure fun, it is probably tough to beat a V6 Mustang in terms of bang for the buck. 300+ HP in the 20's

I like Hatchbacks for the utility, so a hot-hatch seems like a fun choice

I like BMW's my best friend drives a 328.

The thing is, if you look at the performance numbers, one of the hatches (mazdaspeed, focusST, GolfGTI) probably have better performance and more utility in a hatchback than the 320. The higher up models really do cost considerably more.

... and I never lease a car. If you can swallow the monthly payments it is better to buy. I can't write off a lease, or I would probably lease.

NHLPA supporters logic "the owners created the problems so they don't need to be fixed"

I write it off.

Those base models still have close to 200 horsies. I'd be shocked if you get anywhere near that out of ANY Ford Focus.

edit - wow, just looked it up, 250 hp on the Focus ST.

double edit - I still wouldn't drive it.

We've got a Nissan Murano, love that thing for comfort and driving! It's 100 times better than my 2006 Dodge 2500 diesel. Need that to pull my boat. Luckily I get to drive it around the city and attempt to park it in very small spaces.
