I think Panaccio is a tool, and should start to keep his mouth shut about the flyers. The most negative reporter ever to follow the flyers.

C'mon Tim, figure it out! You've been around a long time. Giroux was just named Captain. This is Pronger saying it's not about me, nor is it my team anymore. It's a clear passing of the reins. You want to talk about the team, or Giroux being named Captain, then talk to Giroux. No legitimate reason to be disappointed in Pronger. He does not want to be a distraction.

I can't stand you Tim. You already ran one captain out of town and now you're trying to tarnish the memory of a legend. Why can't you just write about the real story here of Claude becoming the captain? It's like you're that drunk girl at the party that always has to start drama. Do you even read the comments after you post a story whether it's here or on CSNPhilly? Nobody likes you or agrees with what you have to say. Every night until the day I die I'm going to pray that you somehow lose your job or decide to retire. And Eklund I'm begging you to replace this guy with someone else on your site, which I absolutely love by the way. I no longer go to CSN to read their Flyers articles due to this guy and I don't want to come to your site, see his name and get angry anymore.

Seriously Tim, quit whining. We are just happy Chris is back in the building, talking to the guys, and in seemingly good spirits. If he's not ready to talk, deal with it.

Keep at it Flyer fans. This reminds me exactly of Howard Berger when he blogged here almost daily and was on the Toronto sports radio station every day. He even attacked the fans, it wasnt just his negativity to the team. Well, we got him fired from his radio gig and he has since stopped blogging here.

Im shocked you are disappointed in a guy known as one of the biggest if not the biggest D-bag in NHL history. This guy is just a slimeball through and through. I never wish ill will on anyone but this guy got what was coming to him on and off the ice.

I'm not one to wish ill on anyone, but if ill will had to be doled out, Chris Pronger would be the most worthy recipient. Normally when a hockey fan hates on a player, you're attacking the player for how he is on the ice, or maybe how he screwed your team... when it comes to Pronger, he's just a dirtbag, on and off the ice. So glad his career is over, just so that he can't end anyone else's career.

Nonetheless, if you're going to attack him in your blog, attack him for the million and one blatantly obvious douchy things he did instead of trying to make things that you clearly aren't sure about seem like certainties. You don't know why Pronger didn't want to speak to the media, and considering the news isn't about him, I don't know why you think you have the right to speak with him. He released his statement; that's as far as his obligations went.

Yup.

How many concussions did Pronger deal out with cheapshots during his career. But now he is the poor martyr because his own career gets ended by one.

No sympathy for this guy whatsoever.

I'm glad to see there's a lot of other people that share my feelings on our "Flyer's insider"... lol I thought maybe it was just me who got annoyed.

His condescension and self-centeredness wouldn't be missed if he ever quit blogging here, on CSN, or doing appearances on tv.

D-Bag ? Slimeball through and through? If you guys had a player with half his character you might have had a parade by now.

Tim, you mentioned in your blog that you and all the other reporters agreed not to talk about his concussion and now you are blogging about it. I have a buddy on my ice hockey team that can't even go to work most days because he has a severe concussion as well. He can barely look at bright lights without getting a migraine. So what do you think Pronger would feel like with the media lights a foot away from his face and 10 people shouting questions at him at the same time?

While I don't like Pronger, I completely understand what he did. Don't harp on the guy, he is pretty much off the Flyers team so don't run him into the ground because he didn't cater to your needs.

Tim is a relic. If he talked to Pronger he surely would have twisted his words in true Philly sports writer fashion. Because that's what Tim does. When he doesn't get to talk to him instead of taking it on the chin he goes and whines publicly about it.

The fact this guy still has media clearance with the team is an absolute joke.
