I've hated it since the Swedes won Olympic Gold on the stupid thing. Deciding a sporting event by something other than playing the sport is the stupidest thing in all of sports. - Jsaquella
It's gimmicky and all but it's a part if the game now and there is nothing we can do about it. Unfortunately for us, our team is absolutely awful at it and they seem to do nothing to correct the issue. |

When Hartnell comes back I would try Hartnell-Giroux-Read
When Simmonds comes back I would put him back on the top line with Giroux. Nothing against McGinn, but he's not a top line type of player. I like what I have seen from him and he deserves a spot in the lineup. - PLindbergh31
I do as well. When Hartnell and Simmonds are back I sit Sestito and Feds.
A viagra driven Knuble has provided more energy than Fedetenko. |

Patrick Kane just put up two goals and an assist in 3 minutes 30 seconds.

Even though you guys say you suck in shootout. We are worse in them I think we have the league worst record for wins in them. That had to be one of the better ones we have done in our history. but we now have huberdeau who is a shootout expert. and mueller who is pretty good at them.
Good game |

Fedetenko was a Flyers killer every stop he's had in the NHL, he comes back to the Flyers and looks like a 200 pound bag of poop. |

If Simmonds comes back I'd like to see:
McGinn-Giroux-Read
Schenn-Briere-Simmonds
Voracek-Coots-Knuble
Feds/Sestito-Talbot-Rinaldo - flyer_nutter
What are the 4 lines when Hartnell returns? |

What are the 4 lines when Hartnell returns? - jstross
To be honest, lines for me are not all that important. Giroux and Briere need to get going, but I would agree with putting guys in a position that helps them. To answer your question.
Hartnell-Giroux-Read
Schenn-Briere-Simmonds
Voracek-Coots-Knuble
McGinn-Talbot-Rinaldo
For what its worth, a guy like Talbot also needs to pick it up. Rinaldo and McGinn have shown more jump than he has. Every player matters. |

Agree with this. Like these line combinations
Talbot had 19 goals last year, probably a career year. This year he's not even generating any scoring chances. let alone putting the puck in the net. |

And 3 assists for Sharp in the same time frame. (frank)ing sickening. - PLindbergh31
both of those guys should be flyers. |

I'm OK with that. Jumping ahead to next year if you can get a top flight winger you can buyout Briere and move Schenn to Center. I believe you'll see Laughton as the 4th line Center next year. |

I would move Coby to forward with G and Harts, forming the all time worse hair line in nhl history. |

honestly, he's nothing but a spare part, role player at this point. i just want him to give the top guys a rest, keep the puck out of his own end, and chip in a point here and there. not seeing much of that right now. |

He is getting less ice time, and playing 4th line duties. I didnt really expect the same number out of him last season.
However remembering his play last season he was all over the ice, throwing hits and doing great work along the boards. He needs to pick it up.
I also would not mind him getting back on a line with Coots, and Voracek. I liked the combination last year. That means Knuble would probably get bumped to the fourth line, and PP duty. |

I missed the first two periods tonight. Only caught the third and OT. Was going to rewind the DVR and watch, but after the shootout I was so disgusted I deleted it. |

It's not part of the game. The last whistle has blown and there's no time. It's a gimmick and horrible way to end a hard fought tie. |

23-42 all-time in the SO - flyfan1212
yep, basically 1-2. going to take a looooooooong time to get anywhere near .500 in that stat.
amazing that their cup run, and entry into the playoffs came via SO, with Boucher against Captain Shoulder Pads. |

Nope. And he's not playing particularly well on the PK, Steven Hawking would own him on the dot. |

I didn't expect it either. He's got to start playing better no question. He's down the list of guys who need to start putting the puck in the net. Giroux, Briere and Schenn have to provide offense. |

overall, they played a good game. outplayed florida and deserved 2 points. imho, of course. G, B, Coots, Schenn - those guys aren't scoring. making life difficult. |
