The had their chances... they worked hard, and should have had @ least 5 goals tonight!!!
I'm disappointed with the loss, but not the effort!!! - jimmc7722
No one goes to the net. Miller saw every shot. No rebounds. And they are awful in their own zone. It's embarrassing. |

This game was on Nabby. - mighty13duck
He gave up ONE bad goal. The other two shouldn't have even been SHOTS, never mind goals. Vanek should have been lying on his back, looking for his mouthguard, and Ehrhoff should have been ridden into the glass by Ullstrom. It's the defense that is the problem- specifically, how they are coached to play defense (or should I say, not coached).... |

The effort is misguided- it's clear they have the talent, at this point. What they don't have is the coaching or discipline. The pass Moulson tried to make across the ice at his own blue line was a perfect example- they were hemmed in their own zone for nearly two minutes after that. A player who does that is being taught to move everything forward as quickly as possible- that's how you play shinny, not NHL hockey.
Yes, Buffalo only had 15 shots- but 8 of them were legitimate scoring chances, because no one on our team is taught how to clear the front of the net. No one is taught to stay back to ensure against two on ones, or breakaways. Everyone goes forward, as soon as ANYONE on our team touches the puck. That is not how you play hockey at this level. Someone figured that one out a LONG time ago, and the people who still don't get it are the ones who wonder why the Devils are good every year. - dcb1
It's not all on Jack but he has to go. This team is not responding to him. The GM is not going and many of these players are not being traded so it falls on the coach. |

that was hard loss to swallow. isles dominated. even thought pp didnt score either it looks much improved.
Viz and Bailey looked great out there.
Tavares should have had hattrick. we were just unlucky tonight.
If isles could put that effort ever game we would make playoffs with ease.
I hope Reasoner never plays another game in isles jersey.
Nabby looks tired. Even DP could have won this game. |

There is nobody who I feel bad for more than JT. The kid brings it game in and game out and he has no help. He is a winner and deserves to win. Management needs to do their job and start bringing in winners and dumping the losers. The Okposo experiment is over. |

For all their shots, there were maybe single-digit actual scoring chances. Too many weak wristers from the point with no one in front, shots from the outside into the crest...not going to beat NHL goaltenders that way. They didn't take advantage of all their hard work and all the time spent in the offensive zone. - UIF
I'm glad you said it bcs if i did I would've been being negative. 20 of those 42 shots were directly into the Buffalo crest on the Jersey. Buffalo looked God awful actually worse than the Islanders have lately and if there was a game this team should've won it was this one. |

Buffalo stinks. A good defensive team would have shut them out this evening, guaranteed. |

Terry Murray doesn't have a job. The la kings did fire him last year but he still got a cup ring and with him, they learned how to win, how to play defense and be disciplined. If the isles care about winning, he would be here or someone like that would be here. I completely agree.
Capuano strikes me as a very good assistant coach or good ahl coach but that's it |

When is the last time an Isles dman or foward knocked a player down in front of the net? Players own the Isles zone. I'm not talking about fights I'm talking about taking guys out of the play. Even with a lousy coach players should understand this. |

Nabby has been mediocre to bad every game so far. Without a decent goalie we will lose. - mighty13duck
I don't agree with this. We wouldn't have won a few games if we didn't have him. He looked not so great tonight but if you think we lost that game bcs of him I'll say i don't agree with you and this is coming from someone who is not a fan of him. Our defense is terrible. Amac is God awful. |

Correct, people look at the shot clock and think Miller won the game when most of those shots could've been stopped if we put a garbage can in the net and left the corners open. |

JT is a good guy and I understand he does not want to go public but he needs to talk to Wang and Snow and let them know he needs help and is not happy with the losing. |

Thats why its frustrating to have DP. Why pay 4.5mil when we can goto home depot and grab a garbage can for 8 bucks. |

I'm really starting to feel bad for him too and I'll say it again, it's only a matter of time until that frustration manifests into him not wanting to play here. Kid isn't dumb he sees no improvement, he sees management doing nothing to improve the team, he doesn't see the playoffs in the near future. A competitive person like him wants to win and management proves time and again that they don't care. |
