If we cant beat Buffalo how do we beat Philly Pens Bruins etc? - mighty13duck
We don't, that's why we suck and will continue to until we get help. Real help, not Acoin and Strai, Hickey. How long did anyone really think these waiver guys were going to produce? There is a reason why they aren't NHL players, same thing I always say. Consistency |

JT is a good guy and I understand he does not want to go public but he needs to talk to Wang and Snow and let them know he needs help and is not happy with the losing. - ses111
His agent already did. |

Jimmy it's not hate it's reality. One has nothing to do with the other. Call it what you will but it's right there in front of your face whether you want to see it or not. |

That "unlucky" cr*p is exactly what I expected to hear- I just expected to hear it from them, and any of their apologists, not one of us....well, actually, they DID get unlucky.....that Jacques Lemaire is not the coaching their team.... |

I cannot imagine why? The Isles did win a playoff round in 93. |

It was a combination. Isles didn't get a bounce, hit some posts but the fact is that the sabres had more quality chances than the isles did probably. 2 on 1s, the ehrhoff goal was horrid coverage. Bad goaltending. No net presence on either end. Yes the effort was there but I think it was mainly a flat sabres team. |

See what?
They played a good game... yea it sucks they lost, but they were not outplayed!!!
They have to bury the chances they had!!!
Nabby should have had that last goal.
They outshot a team 43 to 15. |

You think? That was probably the worst I have ever seen the Sabres play, they were terrible. There was alot more wrong with us besides are goaltending, mainly our defense which was suspect the entire night. The Sabres definitely out chanced us. |

You really don't have an eye for hockey do you? I know I'm coming off as insulting and I'm sorry but do you really think because we out shot them that we had more actual scoring chances then the Sabres did tonight? The Sabres were terrible, absolutely terrible and we lost. That's it |

Isles showed the same amount of effort they did against the rangers, buffalo was just that much worse. Pathetic defensive coverage, lack of drive to the net and just an awful game by about 6 different Islanders. Aucoin, Okposo, Streit, Moulson, Nielson, Nabby were just awful tonight. KO is destroying the second line chemistry and our secondary scoring is loooong gone.

We for once 100% agree with each other except you need to put Amac and Boyes in the list of terribles tonight. |

I agree for the most part. They don't have the guts to get to the net and out work their opponents which tonight were ripe for the taking. I think they skated with energy but it was mostly a perimeter game by the isles. |

Silly me you figure a team that has not won anything in years and coming off a long lockout can bust it pretty much each game. |

Most of these Isles players should have taken up figure skating or golf. Not KO though he cannot even skate. |

sorry Jimmc, they were awful tonight and Buffalo should never have been in this game. So many shots from awful angles, way outside the slot, directly into the chest of Miller. Terrible decision making, lack of any drive to the net, lazy skating for large portions of the game. Just because you take a bunch of long range and bad angle shots does not mean you out worked the other team. It was a lazy boring effort with very few players actually trying.
Nabby has had one decent game this year, the rest have been filled with good saves and bad goals. We have no option in net, no fire or drive in these players and they're giving up on the season already.

If I was listing 8 then those two would have been solid choices. Just absolutely crappy hockey to watch.

I agree with this statement. I wouldn't Say they have given up on season but they are playing like last years team. Flat, and stuck in mud. |

Not at all. Just hockey players that are afraid to get hit. You figure before becoming hockey players they would understand it is a tough sport and they will get hit. |
