Josh Georges just took on Frazer McLaren in the Leafs vs Canadiens game. McLaren mocked him somewhat, but also didn't just beat the snot out of him which he clearly could have done. Given they were past teammates, Georges must have known he was getting in way over his head.

Loved having Rivet on the team, but I'm not sure anyone could have imagined Georges would have turned into such a decent defenseman, and clearly the guy is pretty fearless. I remember him taking some big hits while in San Jose and he always seemed to bounce back up.

That's the type of play that earns you a lot of respect with your teammates..something the sharks could use some more of.

No wonder you seldom get positive responses or any responses at all with your STUPID, and I mean STUPID comment about Scott Gomez. Are you joking? Of course the guy has to slow down, because he is playing with two of the slowest and worst players in the league TJ Galardi and James Sheppard. Otherwise it would be him vs 5. Gomez has probably been the Sharks most consistent and best puck handler the last 5 games. If that Idiot coach of ours would put in on the right line with the right players even you would see (well maybe) that.

But today you must have been blind. How many times did you see #12 handle the puck. And the games official stats show Gomez with 1 Giveaway and 2 takeaways the ONLY Sharks player today with More Takeaways then turnovers. While Marleau had 2 turnovers, 0 takeaways and 1 shot in a little over 20 minutes on the ice.

He's a real leader too, from all accounts.

On the HNiC telecast, they interviewed him and asked him who he looked up to when he was growing up in Kelowna (BC). He mentioned Scott Hannan (who was playing with the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL at the time), and then noted how great it was to room with him and learn from him after being drafted by SJ.
