Sulzer needs to sit, I could care less what his +/- is. He is a wreck in his own end and in front of the net, it's like he's not even there - sbroads24
There's a reason he was a "#7" on a GOOD team
Just like LEOPOLD was a bottom pair guy
But for us,
Leopold gets top pair icetime and Sulzer gets paired w out beat defenseman
These guys are playing in roles that are just above their talent level
And neither puts forth the extra effort to make up for it
Too many average players asked to do things they aren't capable of
And that's why we are so woefully unsuccessful
And you call yourself a Sabre fan?
Some of you are priceless here, I'll tell ya.
I'll leave you to female dog, moan and beat the dead horse now after I say this...
LINDY NEEDS TO BE FIRED....
REGIER NEEDS TO BE FIRED...
STAFFORD SUCKS....
MYERS SUCKS....
REGIER WILL NEVER TRADE ANYONE EVEN THOUGH HE GETS A 1ST ROUND PICK FOR GOOSE..
I think I just about summed it up for all the usual whiners here. But they will say the same thing over and over again.
Amusing really.

when did I piss in your cornflakes?
a spade is a spade
this team had more heart in the bankrupt years
they should have blown it up when briere and drury walked and instead they try to rebuild on the fly and the players they reward with high contracts have lost their edge once they got paid
the gm is slow to adapt to the game that is constantly changing
when big goalies are the hot players, he drafts enroth
when the clutching and grabbing comes back in the game, he gets short players
when the team is depleted with centers, he drafts d men
when the team gets pushed around, it takes 4 years for him to realize they need to get tough
he builds a d core like it's the fun and gun era, yet the coach runs a system that handcuffs the wingers to fly down the ice
the team is struggling to score goals to make the playoffs and depleted so the gm gives up more for Moore with a broken hand then Antropov
I really could go on for another 20,000 words but it could lead to vomiting

You don't see guys taking shift after shift off. You think they played hard for 60 minutes? Not me...no effort from to many key player. Pommer should have been sat after that defensive zone turnover. Grow a set Lindey and send a fin message. It wasn't bad enough he had one fin hand on the stick near the blue line when he first cought it up. How soft was he along the boards ten seconds later when he did his token drive by. And who made the Pens such a great team, that we are suppose to be happy lossing to them at home ? Lindey has the tools they just won't go to battle for him. Give me 18 Ott's or atleast the effort that even Gerbe put out today and we blow them out. - Cometman
Sabres skated this game better than pass games . in an 82 game season this loss would be not meant as much. But with us in the basement every loss is a step in the wrong direction. If they can keep up the speed and intensity every game the rest of the season out . They just might make the playoffs . Anything less and its another season like last year .. and the year before , and before ,and etc etc .
I have brought that up before on here that I asked my source why not 26 (then). He almost laughed me out of the room.
Furthest thing from a leader, bad habits, doesnt practice hard and to top it of doesnt want to be captain.
Things may be different current day, but back when they named Pommer capt Vanek was not C material......from what Ive been told by somebody a lot closer to the situation than I am.

I'm feelin' your passion brah but I didn't see too many passengers today. In a 60 minute game (especially with a lot of penalties to kill and fifteen thousand icings) your going to see some guys floating with one hand on the stick.
Not happy losing to any team let alone the Pen's but they're a really solid team.
It is what it is.
Gerbe is taking a roster spot, IMO, from a Flynn or a Porter that may bring something to the team. The Gerbe experiment should be over.
120 more games of Miller and back to back 10th in the east or move Miller and have blah goalies and finish 13th in the east
in the end, does it really matter? - homiedclown
Thats a Fair point
I really can't see any way Miller would re-sign here
I'm surprised he hasn't yet demanded a trade
They just said on WGR that he is PISSED
I'd love to hear a post game interview from him today

Thanks Homer .. was wondering the same thing regarding that.

a third line of ott, gringo and flynn would be so much better then what this team puts out there for that line
gerbe or hecht on the 4th line is fine
neither deserve more then 10 minutes of ice time per game, if the goal is to dress the best 18 skaters in the organization

It's like we're neither rebuilding or contending.
I am happy that we're tougher though. That's about it.
