Also, is anyone else bothered by what our 2nd powerplay unit consists of?
Today I saw gerbe with ott and maybe ennis. No problem with ennis but GERBE and OTT? Come on Thats insane
Absolutely loved Ott's game today but to me he just doesn't belong on a powerplay unit. Granted, we don't have many other options but I think those two should've at least been substituted for Foligno and Staff
and yes, I'm aware that Foligno hasn't been producing lately - HAMgerber
Otts exactly the kind of guy you want and he can score as well.Staff sucks and Folignio still a work in progress.Gerbe s been a dissapointment and he used to be one of my favorite players |

Those two players combined for a goal today.
And Ott's first of the year was on the PP. - HonkFortheGoose

Why is Staff getting PP time? He has 1 goal in 16 games. That's terrible. He's making $4 mil a season and for what? To look pretty? |

Is that 2 points for the year ? So you dissagree about the point hes been dissapointing so far this season ? |

You need finesse players on the PP not tough guys. Believe me I'm one of the biggest supporters for Ott but I think Lindy needs to chill on his boner for him and get him off the PP. Id like him on the PK though |

Someone called into the WGR postgame show with a good point (surprisingly): Vanek, Hodgson, and Pominville is one of the hottest lines in hockey? Why break them up for the powerplay? |

Statistically Staff is better than Gerbe...he'll break out of his slump eventually. And he's looked great his last two games.
Another assessment...Hecht needs to go he's awful. Liked him the first couple games of the year but my God he's so bad |

He's not going to put up points playing with guys like John Scott. Go figure he's started to see time with guys who actually have some skill and he's now starting to get chances in the offensive zone and he's managed to pick up a few points. He's a skilled guy. Not a 4th line grinder. |

Because if over thinking the obvious wasn't allowed there would be no professional coaches. |

He made Fleury over commit. That's really why Ott was able to get that goal. Because Fleury wasn't even in the net at that point. |

The puck deflected off a guys leg right on Ott's stick. No kidding fleury wasn't over by Ott.
Gerbe was the beneficiary of puck luck. |

Now I'm rambling and I'm sorry....but I also saw Leopold got two shifts playing the opposite point on the PP next to Hoff.....
that immediately takes away the opportunity for a one-timer.
WTF is Lindy doing its so frustrating |

well just cause Miller drops a handful of F bombs doesnt make him a leader either. - Homer
True,
Just seems like Miller cares to the point that it's killing him
I don't get that sense from Pommer
Not that he doesn't care...
Idk really know how to describe it
When I hear pominville talk it doesn't seem to me that there's much fire in him
Not that I need him to yell and scream,
But he almost seems complacent
Maybe that's just how he is, and that's fine I guess,
But not if you're captain
Not sure if any of that makes much sense |

He was way out of the net though. That's good work by Gerbe to draw him all the way over there. Especially when the shot didn't even make it through. |

He's a very even keel kind of guy. Never gets too high or too low. That's not a bad quality to have in a Captain as well. |

Appreciate your thoughts but right now I think we need guys who can get it done and we have a finesse line with the first unit.I agree with Lindy till we have something better.I like a guy who will bury the goalie in the back of the net in an effort to score a goal. |
