Honestly for all my bluster, the hit wasn't that bad. The one thing that made me think it SHOULD have been a suspension was that it was clearly retaliatory, and that was supposed to be an instant suspension. IF this was just Patches on a random Ranger, im ok with no suspension. The fact that it was MacD, whom had an earlier incident with Patches, during the game, and that it was 100% retaliatory, i feel that alone makes it a suspenable play.

For me its the jump that makes it as bad as it was. Retalliation of not, leaving your skates to make a hit, especially one from behind, should lead to at least a game or two in a suit keeping the journalists company
