Staal isn't practicing, I only say this cause he racticed saturday before the game even though he had the flu. - tomburton99
This is a brutal flu this year. Doesn't suprise me that he is not practicing, because he probably still feels like hell. |

Kreider's play is a disservice to himself. Start banging and playing with a little snarl with his size. Right now he's a ghost on the ice, and the comparison is 100% apt. 5 shots in 10 games. - Pete V
He needs a wake up call, Big Time! Almost hope he got hammered with a hit (not too hard now) & it woke his ass up. As always, its a game of confidence & if he can snap out of it with a goal or 2 he just might get on a roll & so could the Rangers as a whole.
Just imagine if Nash, Richie & Kreider all started to get hot at once? We would start kicking ass, that I know. |

He is expected to play, the skate was optional.. |

Rangers better be damn sure that if Nash did have a concussion he is 100% or even letting him on the ice is a major fail, regardless of how happy we all are that he is there. |

They let him play in the game against the Islanders and Caps. The Rangers and Torts handled this thing really bad to begin with. The damage is all but done |

One would think they learned their lesson after Staal's situation, unless it wasn't a concussion...but then again he did play 2 games after the hit...I hope they come out post am skate and say he is healthy, 100% and it wasn't a head injury...but i doubt it |

agreed, so why exacerbate it? Reminds me how Mets handled Jason Bay and worse, Ryan Church years ago. |

Andrew Gross@AGrossRecord
Rick Nash and Chris Kreider are the last two on the ice to work with coaches and backup goalie Marty Biron. They may be the scratches.
Like I said, even if he doesn't play tonight, this is hopefully a clear sign that he is close...and our worst fears have been alleviated...(sp?) |

now it's just Nash, so it looks like he's scratched. |

We all say its a lack of confidence. I can buy that to a certain extent, but here is what I will say, the one thing that you can control even when things are going bad is how hard you work. Hagelin at the beginning of the year, couldn't find the score sheet, but you still see he was working his ass off. He was still noticeable on the ice.
With Kreider, can a lack of confidence really be the whole reason why he is playing like he is? Hell, even when your not confident, you can still skate hard, forecheck, bang, and otherwise do the little things. I'm just not seeing anything from him this year.
And believe me, I want him to shut-up critics like me, because he can be tremendously important for the team's success. |

Not necessarily, he may just want the extra work b/c of the inactivity, then again, it is probably the case... |

Only Nash and Biron out their now. So Nash probably is a no go tonight. |

Nash doesn't think he'll be ready tonight. Has been skating since last week on his own. Won't specify his injury. Says it was a few things.

Gross asked him directly if he a concussion, he answered he isn't a doctor, he has had a few issues...so in other words yes! Excitement needs to be tempered, remember Sauer actually skated before he had to be shut down...but this sounds like he is closer |

I hope the next question was, well you're not a doctor, but did a doctor tell you that you had suffered a concussion. |

Gross also said he didn't deny that one of his issues stemmed from the Lucic hit...my god, if this were a civil trial, I think the preponderance of the evidence has shown that he had (hopefully remains had as in past tense)! a concussion |

It still makes you wonder if it was a concussion, it makes no sense as to how it was handled then, I still think it was his groin which he hurt on Davos |

So basically concern over how they mismanaged it is driving how they report it now, makes sense to me. Would be smarter to admit that it did not look like he had a concussion and then he had symptoms after the Islanders game and that they need to err on the side of caution now. The way that are mishandling it now makes situation worse. |

He has been playing since September, maybe it was nagging him all along... |

That would be the wise and telling the truth, a poster mentioned that if the Penguins can disclose Malkin's concussion the Rangers can disclose as well...just leads to more distractions... |

He's been skating on his own for a week, in today's world of social media how does this not get leaked and make it's way around? Did they clear the practice facility and bring him in like Michael Jackson? |
