He's been skating on his own for a week, in today's world of social media how does this not get leaked and make it's way around? Did they clear the practice facility and bring him in like Michael Jackson?
- HankdaTank

It is pretty unbelievable how they have managed to keep everyone in the dark. They have had less leaks than the CIA.

He should be back soon. Regardless, tonight will go a long way in determining whether Torts has lost the team like I've been saying for a couple of weeks now. There's still time to change our path.

I wonder whether he was wearing a Bobby Valentine like disguise when he was skating.

Rangers don't have a guy that can go toe to toe with Lucic. The guy who was willing to go with him is in Montreal. Pacioretty is an easy fix, March 29th call up Michael Haley. Tell Haley to play thw way he played against the Pens when he was with the Islanders. Pacioretty problem solved.

Just wanted to throw this out there. It's been brought up several times how the Rangers may have mishandled this Nash injury. This may be crazy, but what if Nash either didn't have symptoms (assuming concussion until after he played the next games or he may have had slight symptoms and not reported them. Some athletes want to play more than anything else. If they don't think the symptoms are too severe, they won't mention it because they know as soon as they mention it, they will be shut down. As far as I know with Staal's concussion, he didn't really show any symptoms until after the season was over. I'm pretty sure the Rangers wouldn't knowingly endanger their players careers/lives. Nash is here for the long haul. Sure they want to win now, but why risk long term injury to play a few games. I personally don't buy the whole mismanagement thing.

If the problem was delt with right away, I wouldn't be calling for justice. But all i see when I close my eyes and think about the Mcdonagh hit is the Pacioretty smirk.

makes my blood boil.

One more thing. I absolutely think the Rangers' problem is a combination of new faces and a lack of confidence. We know (most of) these players are skilled and should be much better than they are. We can blame Torts all we want, but we know the guy can coach. Whether you like him or not, he has turned this team into a contender. Just like Renney moved us from bottom dwellers to a playoff team, Torts took us from a playoff team to a contender. I know it's been said, but look at the Kings last year. All you need to do is make it to the post-season. Often times the successful playoff teams are the ones that get hot at the right time. I'm okay with suffering through a mediocre season and then making a cup run as a low seed. Sure I'd rather be in first place from day one, but this sport is unpredictable. You never know what can happen.

Sorry for the long posts. I don't post often, but when I do it usually ends up being a novel.

With that all said, let's win this game tonight. I'm tired of losing.

Top 3 teams in each of two 8-team East conferences make the playoffs. Two wild cards from remaining 10 East teams also make the playoffs.

The NHL's failure to serve real justice leaves them with little other option, he doesn't deserve to be jumped like Steve Moore but a clean hard hit followed by a little bit of a cheap shot wouldn't be so bad.

This is all so dumb. Maybe because I am young and only know the 2 conference 8 team format. But why do thsi complciated bullpoop that makes us look like a Mickey Mouse league? If you want 4 conferences, then you need 28 teams. Simple.

I also don't like how the league has shrunk to 8 teams for me in the sense that I do not care how well boston does now for example. They dont affect the rangers until at least the conference finals and to me that is pretty stupid. It all comes down to 8 teams and thats it.... And what if 1 conference is REALYL bad. Then 4 are not only guarunteed playoff spots butis guarunteed a conference finals apperance? So stupid.

I thought Mckenzie said the other day that the next two teams to make would be based on points?

Sorry ole buddy gotta disagree with you on this one. It's the way these things were settled back in the day. I can't tell you how many Saturday nights in Montreal followed by Sunday nights at the Garden were things were settled from the night before. No Shannahan, no BS, they fought and it was done.

I think that is what that says, two wild card teams after the top 3 in each division

What a joke he has become. Let's forget his decision on the Mcdonagh-Pacioretty hit, but what about his decision to only suspend CLowe for 2 games instead of the autmoatic 10. I honestly think teams pay him off, that the only way this makes sense.

it's either get your players put in the hospital, or you put other team's players in the hospital in the NHL at this point.

Time we start doing the latter.

Flyers have been doing that for years, most of the league has followed. Time we hope on board that train.

Nash skating has to be viewed as a positive. He may not be back tonight but it shouldn't be much longer. The Rangers are obviously much better with Nash than without him and need him back in the lineup at 100%.

It's ironic that nearly all the players involved in that trade are all out due to injury. Nash (concussion?), Dubi (knee), AA (concussion). Erixon is the only one standing right now.
