It was a bad hit, mcD did turn, and it was payback ( like i said after a while you would as well if it kept happening to you), should be suspended, likely will lose a game or some cash. - ShootingSemin
payback for what? honestly asking, didn't see the game until it was already 3-0.
Considering what happened to Pacioretty with his life / career being put in danger from the hit by Chara, he should be the last person running around smashing people's head into the glass as he should know the implications for sure. I believe he was suspended last year for a dirty play for a few games. Hopefully he gets a few extra games being a repeat offender. - pcjr307
He blatantly elbowed Letang; he is building a good reputation for being a cheap player.
Thanks for posting that, like I said, I didn't see the game until it was already 3-0. That was probably not the smartest or cleanest play by Mcd either.

This was my point, both dumb/dirty plays, and uncalled for in the game...

" Sgt. Ian Lafrenière of Montreal police said the investigation was delayed because most of the witnesses were hockey players busy with the Stanley Cup Playoffs. There were concerns Chara would be brought in for questioning when he returned to Montreal during the first round of the playoffs in April, but police said they were in no rush to speak to him.
Lafrenière said Tuesday, however, that the investigation is nearing its end and the last step is to finally interview Chara. "We haven't met Chara, we don't have his version of the facts, and also at the end of it, [a report is] gonna be presented to a crown prosecutor, and this is the person who will decide whether there will be some accusations," said Lafrenière."
I guess they didn't have any cameras at the game. Patches better hope they weren't filming this game either, or he is in trouble.
It was vicious, take off your Habs glasses, he knew what he was doing, it was retaliation and he left the ice on the hit. He will get suspended. - Symba007

He let up on him, watch that play again. He could have given hit him a lot harder than he did. - MidnightMarauder
That must have been just shortly before mashing his face into the boards and leaning his right shoulder in to finish the check... lol his hands were on his shoulders as he backed away...
