Shanahan and his player safety dept are a bunch of clowns. I guess the number 0 came up when he spun his magic wheel

It's a fact, hitting someone is not running him. Pacioretty boarded McDonagh; because Shanahan is horrible at his job doesn't make that hit any better.

Look at that. I was right. No suspension.
- soad_live

just because no suspension doesn't mean he got the call right. Or do you believe every suspension handed down or not handed down by Shanahan is correct? Regardless of what he ruled, are you going to tell me that the players have the right level of respect for one another and the head shots are being handled correctly?

Can't wait until the next game against the Pens so someone can smash Cindy's ugly-ass hot-dog lips into the boards and give him a concussion too. Because apparently doing that is totally legal in this bush-league. What a joke.

Thankfully the players know the truth. It comes around.

That must have been just shortly before mashing his face into the boards and leaning his right shoulder in to finish the check... lol his hands were on his shoulders as he backed away...

If someone gets seriously hurt from a headshot can Shanaban be held accountable? He is allowing these hits back into the game

Shanahan rarely, if ever, gets suspensions right. He is so unqualified for his job it is unreal.

LOL.

I'm defending Pacioretty. I don't think it was vicious. I think there are 10 hits like this every night in the nhl. Always depend if the player protect himself.

- soad_live

What you are forgetting, or ignoring, is that Pacioretty left his feet to complete the hit. That is indicative of a player "launching himself" at the opponent and is one of the criteria used when determining whether or not the intended principal point of contact was the head. That is the part of the play that Pacioretty could have left out and consequently a concussion may not have resulted. Players should not have to "defend" themselves from opponents leaving their skates in the process of checking a player. That is ludicrous.

Well he won't have to, the Rangers won't respond. Don't think they know how to this year

Allowing? It's allowed but get at least the news on Girardi is positive. He didn't break anything.

No i always talk with relativity. In the nhlcriterias, i know its not a suspendable hit. And Shanahan thinks like me.

As for the respect between players, never existed and never will. And i think its bad for hockey.

I agree with you on this, I thought Pacs would get a couple games just for that reason.

TPC beat me to it, the Rangers seem to have no team toughness this season.

Moen but he didn't go in the crease, Biron was way out trying to cut the angle (from what I remember).

It wasn't dirty what Moen did. No problem with that play at all.

This was my point, both dumb/dirty plays, and uncalled for in the game...
- ShootingSemin

Honestly I didn't think the McD hit was as bad as it looked. Both players were skating toward the puck along the boards there and sure, McD leaned on him a bit but I didn't see an obvious shove or push. To me it looked more like McD's momentum carried through and helped Pacioretty's face hit the boards. That was a lot different than what Pacioretty did. Just my opinion.
